The Network will adopt a forward-looking approach to each of the four pillars of the WPS Agenda. Please select two focused topics that you deem relevant to contribute to, in implementing the WPS Agenda, including through your national or regional action plan or strategy: *Examining the transition towards women’s substantive influence on security policies and decision-making through systematically embedding their full, equal, and meaningful participation in peace, mediation, and security institutions.Exploring how States can balance survivor-centred approaches with the imperative to overcome narratives that frame women solely through vulnerability, while strengthening mechanisms to protect women human rights defenders operating in fragile and conflict-affected environments.Assessing the extent to which gender-sensitive early warning systems and conflict analysis tools are effectively integrated into national security architectures, and identifying the institutional barriers that continue to impede structural prevention reforms.Examining how post-conflict reconstruction, transitional justice, and humanitarian coordination can more consistently embed gender-responsive budgeting, accountability mechanisms, and women’s leadership in shaping recovery processes and long-term peacebuilding. The meeting will explore the nexus between the WPS and YPS (Youth, Peace and Security) agendas. Please select two topics that you deem relevant to contribute to: *Climate Security and Disaster Risk Reduction – Rethinking security governance and resilience in the face of climate-related risks.Digital Frontiers – Addressing the opportunities and risks digital technologies pose for participation and protection.Addressing the Continuum of Violence – Focusing on the intersections of gender and youth in conflict settings .Disarmament for Inclusive Peace – Integrating gender and youth perspectives into arms control and disarmament frameworks.Indigenous Peoples – Addressing the intersections of gender and Indigenous identities in conflict‑affected settings by recognizing both the opportunities for meaningful participation and the risks to protection and cultural integrity. There will be a session on “Mediating Peace Differently”, envisaging interventions from Focal Point and guest organisations regarding the integration of gender in contemporary peacemaking.Celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Women, Peace and Security Focal Points Network: Focal Points are kindly invited to come prepared to share their views and experience over the last decade in implementing their national and regional WPS Action Plans. In particular, Focal Points are encouraged to reflect on key milestones, lessons learned, and the added value that Network membership brings to national and regional WPS implementation efforts.Submit
