Gender equality policies/feminist foreign policies
- Mongolian Law on Promotion of Gender Equality was adopted in 2011. The implementation of this public-policy setting law has been supported by two national programs until 2023, 14 sector-specific gender policies as well as gender-responsive local development policies in the nation’s capital, 21 aimags (provinces) and 9 districts.

Key WPS and gender equality reports/resources
The International Conference on Women, Peace and Security was held under the auspices of the President of Mongolia in June 2022. The conference brought together female peacekeepers from 30 countries, international organizations including the UN, European Union. During the 5-day conference, the participants discussed the issues including, “Identifying challenges facing countries in gender equality and opportunities to increase the role of women in peacekeeping”, sharing good practices, increasing the participation of women in the UN peacekeeping operations, etc. This year is marking the 20th anniversary of Mongolia participating in the peacekeeping operations. About 20,000 Mongolian officers and personnel have served in UN missions around the world of which 911 were women. (https://news.mn/en/797608/)
