The Latvian Women, Peace and Security National Action Plan envisages three main tasks:
1. Raising public awareness of gender equality issues and the elimination of gender-based violence, especially in the younger generation;
2. Training for the defence and home affairs sector, including the establishment of a gender adviser’s position;
3. The transfer of Latvia’s experience and knowledge.
All of these three tasks are implemented in close cooperation with non-governmental organizations, civil society and our foreign partners.
