The Republic of Korea’s National Action Plan has been formulated through consultation among government ministries, civil society and academia. The 4th NAP (2024-2027) aims to enhance ROK’s responsiveness to emerging issues related to women, peace and security, such as climate crisis and cyber security. It also seeks to secure ROK’s leadership in global women, peace and security agenda and to strengthen the implementation and monitoring.
In evaluating the implementation of the current NAP, Ministry of Gender Equality and Family engaged in discussions with other government ministries, civil advisory panel, academia, and various other stakeholders, while also conducting public hearings to gather and incorporate their inputs into the process.
