Japan’s WPS NAP focuses not only on conflicts but on natural disaster settings. In 2015, the Government of Japan formulated its first NAP in coordination with civil society. The third NAP (2023-2028) is currently being implemented, following the adoption of the second in 2019. It also includes strengthen WPS implementation capacity of relevant ministries in Japan.
