
In February 2019, the Armenian Government approved the first National Action Plan (NAP) for the implementation of UNSC Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security for a three-year period of 2019-2021.
An Interagency Commission was established for the development of the NAP. The area of focus is to increase of the role of women in peace and security. Armenia attaches special importance to ensuring the active participation of women in all stages of the conflict cycle and protection of women affected by the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
