As 2023 Co-Chairs of the WPS Focal Points Network, the United States of America and Romania, in partnership with troika members, South Africa and Switzerland, and UN Women as Secretariat, invite the Focal Points to meet on the margins of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Drawing from the discussions at the Fifth Capital-Level Meeting of the Network, which was held in Washington, D.C. on 6-8 June 2023, this annual side event invites Network members at the ministerial and senior levels to share their reflections and practices on the themes and outcomes of the Washington, D.C. meeting, as well as their experiences in developing transformative strategies for the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda.
